DC - How long will spares and consumables (e.g. ribbons) be available for DC?

Since the announcement of Summa to end the DC Series, Summa effectively did not install new machines in the market anymore. However, Summa continues to provide service until the end of 2022. These DC Series have been on the market for a long time already, therefore, we are expecting several components to become obsolete during the upcoming years. Considering this, Summa analysed the availability of consumables and spare parts, which brings us to the following decisions: 

1. Summa has implemented a supply chain to deliver spare parts and consumables until December 31, 2022, on a best effort basis. Summa will take all commercially reasonable measures to provide support, as well as deliver spares (both new and repaired) and consumables for all orders placed before December 31, 2022. 
2. The realization of this service entails some additional operational costs, which results in an increase in the price of spares and consumables. As from today, new prices according to the attached price lists will apply:
   
   For all consumables and process colour ribbons, an increase of 10% or less was required to assure coverage of the supply chain. 
   For the spot colour ribbons, a more significant increase has been applied. Due to lower consumption of those parts, the manufacturing process becomes significantly more complex. Nevertheless, Summa decided to keep delivery possible.
   For special requests, an additional charge or longer lead times may apply. You will be informed about this shortly after placing your order. 

Summa is committed to serving its customers in the best way. Therefore, we will announce in due time whether the targeted end of service date of December 31, 2022, could be extended.
