When you output a paneled job with OPOS marks and you get following message: "To achieve better cutting results marks should be added left and right at the same position!"
This message can appear from GoProduce version 1.10 or higher. This message is only extra information you will get concerning the compensation, machine will just continue cutting. In version before 1.10 you did not get this warning but the functionality/compensation method was the same.
What is this warning about?
To achieve the best accuracy in OPOS cuts it would be best to have two marks on one line at the crossing between panels. This way GoProduce/the machine can read both marks again in the next panel. This will make it possible for GoProduce to compensate with both markers to adjust the cutting lines according to the read OPOS markers. This will give a more accurate adjustment than an adjustment with one mark.
To make it more clear you will find below an example of a rectangle cut with shifted marks (1 mark compensation in panel 2) and example of the same rectangle with markers on one line at the crossing between panels:
1) Markers not on one line
DESIGN with marks not on one line at the crossing between panels:
Printout - lets say left top mark is shifted in reference to the design:

Gray: design
Cutting lines with single mark in second pane l:
Green: cutting line first panel
Blue: cutting line second panel
Gray: design position mark

2) Markers on one line

When opos marks (videomarks) are shifted towards each other Go Produce will only read one mark in the next panel, making the compensation less accurate.
