Roll Cutter - Add a Generic Printer to Windows 10 for Ethernet Connection

Use the following procedure to add a Generic Printer to Windows 10 to use an Ethernet Connection.

1. From the Start menu, click Settings.

2. Click Devices.

3. Click Printers & Scanners, followed by Add a printer or scanner.

4. Click The printer that I want isn’t listed.

5. Select Add a local printer.....and then click Next.

6. Select Create a new port, followed by Standard TCP/IP Port.

7. Enter the correct IP address, and uncheck Query the printer…. 

8. Select Custom, click Settings, make sure your settings match the settings in the screenshot below and click OK.

9. From the Manufactures list, select Generic followed by Generic/Test Only from the Printers list.  

10. Enter a name for the printer and click Next.   

11. Select Do not share this printer and click Next.

12. Uncheck Set as the default printer and click finish.
